2 cups flour 2 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 1/2 cups butter 1 1/4 cups sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 cup mashed ripe bananas 1/2 cup buttermilk |

| Preheat oven to 350. Cream butter until light. Add sugar and continue beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat until batter is the consistency of whipped cream. Stir in vanilla and bananas. Fold in dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Pour into 2 9" pans, greased and floured. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool 10 min. Loosen cakes, invert. Cool completely |
